Research Interests
Ecological Design and Human Experience- My work in the areas of design and ecological research focuses on contriving ecological appropriate environments that recognize the importance of human experience. In research, the engineering based urban ecological design applications, such as green roofs, are being measured to understand their character, performance and potential as sustainable urban development practices. In my professional designs, I explore water as a literal, symbolic or metaphorical element. When combined with other elements of context and culture these combinations are used to reveal, or create, unique information particular to the site.
